About Me
I first discovered yoga at a time when my life was defined by fear, a lack of self worth and being at war with my body.
The physical practice of yoga met me where I was - lost, hurting and feeling as though me and my body were problems to be solved.
Yoga cracked something open in me that allowed me to heal my relationship with my body and through the wisdom of both the physical and non-physical practices of yoga, I learned how to stand my sacred ground, take up space and look the world in the eye.
Eventually, I became a yoga teacher and opened a yoga studio - hoping to share this experience with others, but - over time, I found the focus on the physical practice of yoga alone to be too limiting. Instead of fighting this shift, I’ve moved into it and am now centering my work on my passion for helping other people discover their own self-worth - and truly honour their place in this big, beautiful world.
The content I offer in my workshops, speaking, writing and coaching is all about learning to love yourself - not only your body, but your whole self. This teaching involves peeling back the many layers of self-worth, from the acceptance of your past experiences, learning how to feel comfortable in your own skin to the importance of boundaries, and how to befriend fear and other difficult emotions. I explore these personal growth areas by leaning in to multiple methodologies, including the nurturing practices and wisdom of yoga so that you can better integrate your experiences and learn to be present in the experience of your life.
I am passionate about personal growth, healing, self-worth and self-love. Body acceptance is where my journey began. But it isn't where it ended.
So, whether you’re looking to get into your body and learn about it’s true strength and beauty through the wisdom and gentle practices of yoga or are ready to begin the process of taking up space in the world and developing your sense of self-worth, I hope you will find something of value in what I have to offer you.
